Telematic

Sooo, telematic performance thing. We had our first real discussion about it today. It’s a group of 5 but only Vicky and I were in the practical today, so we discussed some ideas between us. The main thing that came out of it was some sort of process of folding paper in various ways, inspired by a paper aeroplane, but we also considered things like nets, origami and that little folded, flippy thing that kinds play with, where there are numbers and words written on different sides and things. We’re not really sure what we’re going to do with this exactly. At the moment, it’s all about starting with, say, a paper aeroplane, unfolding it, drawing lines on the folds and drawing a different shape within them, and then creating a new folded object based on that. A bit fuzzy at the moment, but I like the general idea so far. Could investigate further into different scales of folded things (like a bedsheet, as Mike suggested), and then really tiny folded things too.

We have to have something fairly solid to show next Friday, so I think we’re going to arrange a meeting for the whole group, for Wednesday or something, and decide on a few things then.
